Basing on the intelligence from a survey conducted by the American Association of Travel Agents (ATTA) this year, there is significant new trends in the travel industry that affect the whole world! Travel sales for 2011 have fallen significantly with more than a third of the responding businesses reporting less sales volumes at less than $1 million – up from 21 percent in 2002 but down from the 40 percent that was reported last year.

Also of significance was the reporting of air sales in 2011 – which have dropped a whopping 23 percent since 2002. Car rental sales by travel agents have decreased as well while hotels, cruises and tours have all seen strong increases in percentage shares.

But the survey also found out that there is an emerging new group that is travelling, ways through which they gather information about a particular destination to visit, and also investigates the top ten emerging eco-destinations and how to book travel to these places etc

(Habituation simply means that the Mountain Gorillas are used to Human Beings, a process that can take up to two years) There are over 30 Mountain Gorilla Groups in Uganda in total -both habituated ones and those who are not. Each Mountain Gorilla group can have a maximum of 8 visitors each day for a period of about one hour. Gorilla Groups vary in size from 6 to up to 30 in number.

Leave late at night : This sounds difficult but the best! If you have a long way to drive, leave at night and drive while they are asleep. The quietest and most stress-free journey is probably when the children are asleep.
Bring plenty of pillows and blankets so they can doze off comfortably for as long as possible
Don’t forget a pack a cool box not with your children’s favourite drinks but also some snacks on hand when they’re needed.
Take regular stops e.g at a picnic area or lay-by off the road is preferable to a petrol station – every so often and let everyone get out to stretch their legs and let off steam.
